Horizon Electronics History

  1. The company was started in May, 1992 by Andrew DeSimone, it’s current President, the business is now in it’s 31st year.
  2. Initially we were a small alarm system, access control, and telephone system installation company.
  3. Horizon acquired a State Unlimited Electrical license and performed mainly commercial electrical and low voltage installations for most of the 1990’s.
  4. Before the turn of the century, Horizon Electronics expanded and began to acquire additional installers in different parts of Florida and Georgia.
  5. By the early 2000’s additional installers and installation companies were added in all 50 States and Horizon became one of the largest national system integrators with over 5000 contract technicians nationwide.
  6. We acknowledge every service call and installation to let our clients know that we have received their request and we are working it.
  7. Each technician is given a detailed scope of work along with a completion form document that he/she gets signed by the client’s on site manager.
  8. The clients on site manager signing the completion form signifies that the work is completed satisfactorily. Each completion form has a completion date, start time and stop time.
  9. When invoicing each service call and installation a copy of the completion form is included with the invoice.
  10. Customers appreciate the honesty of the completion form accompanying the invoice for work performed along with a typed solution of exactly what was performed on each service call or installation.
  11. Horizon has a very unique business plan. After Horizon’s installer is done with the service call and has sent in his invoice, if he takes credit cards he is paid immediately, net zero.
  12. All vendors that Horizon uses must have a company name, general liability and workers comp or a workers comp exemption. No 1099 or independent contractors are ever used.
  13. Horizon Electronics is totally debt free and additionally pays for all material before it gets delivered to any customer.
  14. All scissor and boom lift invoices are paid upon presentation. No notice to owners are sent since we have a unique relationship with our rental companies.
  15. All project material specified is ordered per customer specifications and paid for by Horizon Electronics. This gives the customer piece of mind that they are getting what was promised in their quote.
